The lake has 10.34 miles of scenic shoreline, featuring two public accesses: one on the west shore managed by the state and the other on the east shore maintained by local authorities.

Northern pike are a key target, while walleye can be found in good numbers across various sizes, including impressive trophy fish. Muskies are stocked every other year, with many sizes present, including some exceeding 30 pounds. For bass enthusiasts, Shamineau is famous for producing largemouth bass in the 5 to 6-pound range.
