CROOKNECK LAKE

179 acres | 1 public access | 3 miles of shoreline

Crookneck Lake Cushing MN

At 179 acres, Crookneck Lake is one of the smaller lakes in Lincoln Lakes Area. Though small in size, it’s well known for its bass fishing.

The lake has a small watershed, shallow basin and good, sandy bottom. It has 3 miles of shoreline and a maximum depth of 21 feet with 75 percent of the lake 15 feet or less in depth. The west end boat access is well kept, but has limited parking.

According to the Department of Natural Resources office in Little Falls, there is a high population of small northern, largemouth bass, bluegill, and crappie. Due to catch and release practices, there are a fair amount of large northern pike. The occasional walleye has been known to be caught by the persistant angler. Dawn and dusk are the best times to be out fishing on this lake.

Crookneck Lake is an ideal place to spend the day cruising for that trophy bass. All of the shoreline on this smaller lake is privately owned, which offers anglers a quiet day on the lake filled with tranquility and beauty.
